Miss Fancy Pants Kicks It Off, 1997
Miss Fancy Pants went on tour and this is her kickoff celebration/exhibition. Visitors to this exhibition were greeted with a symbol of too much girl in the enormous pair of panties hanging in the gallery window. The exhibition space is a cross between an adolescent girl's bedroom with pinned up photo booth images, mirrors, plastic swans and paper flowers, the framed photographs of Miss Fancy Pants, and the scenic photo spot. In the photo spot viewers were invited to have their Polaroid photo taken while they make a handstand with the Miss Fancy Pants silhouette. These polaroids were then displayed as part of the exhibition. Inexpensive keychain viewers containing the images of Miss Fancy Pants were sold as souvenirs; a few are still available.
